Quick Update

Hello to all of you who have come over from Ravelry, or from word of mouth around town!

I want to say thanks for the feedback I've received so far.

Erika -

I'm definitely going to stock kid friendly yarns in my store, and as for the "fun colors", I think people of ALL ages should wear fun colors, so there will be plenty of cheerful, bright color in the shop.  Beige is definitely an enemy of mine, but there will be neutrals for those crafters with more conservative tastes.

I'm definitely going to have knitalongs and have so many ideas for other activities/events.  Hopefully there will be a good deal of interest and people as "dorkily enthusiastic" as I am!

Bsktlvrs -

Not sure yet if I will be carrying Addi needles, but will definitely look into it!  Notions are the last thing I'm figuring out.

I look forward to meeting you all!

I ordered some great patterns today - a cabled hoodie, a baby jumper, felted hat and more - and am so excited to receive them in the mail!  I also ordered about 1/3 of the yarn that we'll be stocking.  Within the next few days I'll take some teaser pictures to show you all a glimpse of the fun.  I hope you're all stitching up a storm in preparation for the cool breezes on the way!

So Many Choices!

Being the fiber fanatic that I am, I'm having no trouble finding things I would like to stock in the store.  Unfortunately, if I stocked everything I found appealing, we'd need a couple of warehouses.  I'm working on whittling down the selection to be able to contain it all under our humble little roof.  When you all are finally invited in, you may notice that our selection is a little smaller than some other stores, but I guarantee it will be well thought out, unique, and of great quality.  Do you have a favorite yarn brand that you can't live without?  What would you absolutely HATE to see in the shop?  Leave me a comment to help with the final narrowing down.  I want to hear from as many different voices as possible both now, and after we've opened.  More to come soon, so check back.  Happy stitching to everyone!

Slow Progress

Things are going well getting ready for visitors and the cozy winter ahead.  It looks like we'll be able to open our doors in November - how exciting!  Once our decor starts coming together, we'll be posting some pictures to entice you all to come visit!  Happy Stitching All!
